American Folk Art Museum Fall Benefit Gala

With host Tim Gunn of Project Runway, the American Folk Art Museum Fall Benefit Gala will honor Dr. Valerie Steel, director and chief curator of the Museum at FIT, and Lucy Sykes, fashion consultant of Rent the Runway.

NOTE: The gala takes place at Tribeca Rooftop, 2 Desbrosses St. in Manhattan.

Thirteen fashion designers will create original works inspired by the permanent collection for the Museum’s winter exhibition Folk Couture: Fashion and Folk Art, underscoring the interplay of fashion and art in contemporary American culture. Ensembles and artworks will be previewed at the Gala, and the Fashion Couture Committee will be in attendance for this glamorous and exciting evening.
