They’ll examine the motivations and psychological profiles of the artists and criminals who have faked great works of art. There will be a book signing, with books available for purchase, following this event.

Noah Charney is a writer, professor and art his­torian and is the founder and president of ARCA, the Association for Research into Crimes against Art, a non-profit research group on issues in art crime. Charney is the author of numerous articles and a novel, The Art Thief (2007). He is American born and lives in Slovenia.

Blake Gopnik is an American art critic based in New York. He is a critic-at-large for Artnet News, and writes for The New York Times and The Art Newspaper. He is currently at work on an Andy Warhol biography.
