Artists as Activists/Environmentalists

Artists Marina Zurkow, Lina Puerta, and Naomi Reis discuss their work on view inBack to Eden and describe how their work reflects their understanding of the Genesis story. The artists will also indicate how their artistic process connects to today’s activism and environmentalism causes. More broadly, the panel will focus on how artists interested in the Garden of Eden story treat the relationship between human beings and nature. Discussion moderated by guest curator Jennifer Scanlan.
