Ascents

ASCENTS PHOTOAscents, Visio Dell’Arte’s Spring exhibition, showcases nine artists at different stages in their artistic careers. Six emerging artists, Bonus, Jeff Bortniker, Ene, Anik Legoupil, Gaëtan de Séguin and Olivier Valli will share the gallery walls with three established artists, Anatoly Burykin, Chhour Kaloon, and Cosmina. All of Visio Dell’Arte’s artists have been founded by gallery owner, Max Laniado.

At different stages in their careers when they began exhibiting with Visio Dell’Arte galleries, all three have since risen within the interna-tional contemporary art scene. In just a few years, they have acquired recognition and legitimacy from art experts, press and, above all well informed and discerning collectors. European critics have suggested Chhour to be a potential successor of Zao Wou-ki and Chu Teh-Chun. Cosmina’s stunning masterpieces have paved the way for an entirely new movement, Atmospheric Abstraction. Burykin, an award winning children’s book illustrator, has shown us in his most recent collection of paintings, depictions of an abstract reality.

Bonus, Bortniker, Ene, Legoupil, de Séguin and Valli are six emerging artists, new to Visio Dell’Arte. All six share an incredible vision for their ascenting path and will soar to well deserved glory. Amongst Visio Dell’Arte’s more recent discoveries, Ene is one of the most promising artists with his unique, mesmerizing and stunningly intricate paintings. Bonus, Visio Dell’Arte’s newest emerging artist, has transposed his art from the street to the canvas to create extraordinary paintings. Bortni-ker’s success did not take long to come after his first solo exhibition with Visio Dell’Arte in the Spring of 2015. Legoupil, de Séguin and Valli are all promising talents in full ascension.

Ascents will pair one established artist with two emerging artists for each phase of its six week exhibit, changing every two weeks. The exhibition will begin with by featuring Cosmina with Ene and Legoupil. The second phase will exhibit Chhour with Bonus and Bortniker. Lastly, for the third phase of Ascents, Burykin will be paired with de Séguin and Valli.
