WHAT: Bartow-Pell’s Centennial year celebrations continue with an illustrated talk by Pelham resident and longtime member Barbara Bartlett on the International Garden Club (IGC) founders. The IGC, now known as the Bartow-Pell Conservancy, was founded 100 years ago by an illustrious group of horticulturally and preservation-minded men and women. Join us for this entertaining discussion and learn more about this fascinating time in the museum’s history.

WHY: The original IGC founders included notable and well-known individuals such as Henry Francis DuPont, the philanthropist Otto Hermann Kahn, Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt II, Mrs. Joseph Pulitzer, Mrs. Henry Clay Frick, Mrs. JP Morgan, Jr. and, Mrs. John D. Rockefeller, Jr., among others. Don’t miss this lively presentation about the prominent figures that helped shape the four centuries of history at the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum.
