Brooklyn Battle Week is a series of events commemorating the 238th anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn. Fought in 1776, the Battle of Brooklyn was the first battle of the American Revolutionary War to be waged after signing the Declaration of Independence. Other Brooklyn Battle Week events include:
- Battle of Brooklyn Reenactment at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Sat, Aug 23 | 12 – 2pm
- Revolutionary Fare – A Revolutionary Food Event at Old Stone House. A food and cocktail tasting event with Colonial inspired dishes from top Brooklyn restaurants. Saturday, Aug.23 | 6 – 9pm
- Battle of Brooklyn Commemoration at Green-Wood Cemetery. Includes trolly tour, parade and historical re-enactment. Sunday, Aug. 24 | 10am – 4pm
