Becoming the Queen of Your Self

220px-QoMcoverTurn your hot mess menopause into your crowning achievement! With Leader Anne Klaeysen, poet Sharon Mesmer, healing arts practitioner Laurie Hefner, and ceremonialist Donna Henes Members $10 Guests $25

“At her first bleed a woman meets her power.

During her bleeding years she practices it.

At menopause she BECOMES it.”

(Native American saying)

Today there are 823 million menopausal women in the world, or 12% of the world population, according to the United States Census Bureau’s 2014 International Data Base of World Population by Age and Sex. During this event we will work with the power that menopause grants — especially for those suffering through it! — by coming together to acknowledge our undeniable global presence, do a meditation, share our stories and participate in a powerful sovereignty (“crowning”) ceremony.

Entry to our 100-year-old building and meeting rooms is available for most wheelchair users with prior arrangements. Please call ahead (212-874-5210 x107) for setup of our portable system and plan to arrive one hour before start time.
