About the Introducer: Psychoanalyst Maggie Robbins is the author of a book of poems, Suzy Zeus Gets Organized. She has been published in the New York Times Magazine, Tin House, The Southwest Review, and the anthologies Heaven and Satellite Convulsions. Her collages and assemblages have been shown from SoHo to Alberta and included in such books as M. G. Lord’s Forever Barbie and Yona Zeldis McDonough’s The Barbie Chronicles. Her most recent solo show, Disorganized Religion, was presented by Metropolitan Baptist Church in New York City. Robbins is fluent in Swahili and taught for three years in Yale University’s Program in African Languages. Robbins is presently working as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York City. She previously introduced CabaretCinema’s screening of Dreyer’s The Passion of Joan of Arc, having written the libretto for Hearing Voices: Joan of Arc at the Stake, which was composed by Robert Maggio, and performed at West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
