Come celebrate the Terrain Gallery, founded in 1955, based on the explanation of art stated by poet and critic Eli Siegel: “All beauty is a making one of opposites, and the making one of opposites is what we are going after in ourselves.” Hear his landmark lecture “Aesthetic Realism & Beauty,” about Correggio, Chopin and Berliox; hear an excerpt from an Aesthetic Realism Lesson which has been given the title “Do you Want to Be Accurate about Your Feelings?”; and hear “Napoleon Accompanied”—works and discussion by artist Chaim Koppelman, presented by Terrain Gallery coordinators Carrie Wilson and Dale Laurin.
