Cryptozoology: Fact and Fiction

An Evening of Cryptozoology with Strange Tales Author Daniel Braum to Celebrate the Book Release of Yeti Tiger Dragon

What creatures lurk outside the realm of the civilized world? What creatures are among us yet unseen? These questions have been capturing our collective imagination for eons.

Cryptozoology is the term commonly used referring to the search for creatures that have not been documented by science such as Bigfoot, Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster. Cryptids and cryptozoology are often associated with New Yorker Charles Fort, a prominent researcher of strange phenomenon.

Tonight, join us for a talk exploring some of the most popular and well known cryptozoology beasts such as the Yeti (or “meh-teh” as they are known in Tibet) as well as extinct animals such as the Australian Tasmanian Tiger. Braum will cover colorful theories and the history of these beasts, highlight how they have appeared in literature, and read a story from his new book from Dim Shores Press.

Come for the talk. Celebrate the launch of Yeti Tiger Dragon, published by Dim Shores Press, with a cryptid-themed cocktail.
