The Deborah Zall Project

The Deborah Zall Project presents both current and former members of the Martha Graham Dance Company in “In the Company of Women, and Guests,” an evening of dances by Zall, along with a solo choreographed by guest choreographer Kenneth Topping. The artists will perform several dramatic solos by Zall based on female characters from classic plays: Amanda and Mary Tyrone, to name two. By Topping, former principal dancer and director of the Martha Graham Ensemble, is the solo “Robot Man,” which will be danced by Gildas Lemonnier. Other past and current Graham dancers are Nya Bowman, Jennifer Conley, Erica Dankmeyer, Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch, Whitney Hunter, Kim Jones, Lauren Newman, Dani Stinger and Blakeley White-McGuire. Zall herself will appear in the world premiere of her “Miriam,” set to an original score by Stephen Weinstock.
