Join us for a conversation about archaeological finds at the South Street Seaport and how they illuminate the history of trade, war, immigration and life on the city’s waterfront. Featuring some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan, and being the site of numerous recent archaeological digs, the South Street Seaport is a tableau of New York’s past and present.

This program is part of a series of programs accompanying Sea Level: Five Boroughs at Water’s Edge. Each program will examine the physical layers of the past as they relate to the historical and emotional dimensions of the city.
