Dinner and a Movie: Holy Motors

Did you see this movie from 2012? French David Lynch or something. Nine deeply weird, arresting sequences, seemingly maybe following the same protagonist? At turns surreal, dreamlike, very funny, heartfelt, happy, sad, violent, and sometimes pointlessly weird? This movie deserves some serious unpacking.

Join me for two two-hour long classes at Berg’n, each with a brief intermission: I play all of Holy Motors, pausing after each sequence to try to answer, with your help, this key question: What the Fuck Just Happened? You grab dinner and drinks from the bar beforehand and bring it into class and let’s see if this is what I think it is: a movie about movies, about acting and illusion in the digital age.

$12 per class, or $20 for the series
