Dion in Conversation with Anthony DeCurtis

Dion came up out of the Bronx in the ’50s and tore through the music charts in a ferocious display of talent. His career began as lead singer for the vocal group the Belmonts, but it was in the 1960s that he found his R&B groove, with solo hits like “The Wanderer,” “Runaround Sue,” “Ruby Baby” and “Lovers Who Wander.” He’s credited with paving the way for the British Invasion, as well as influencing such artists as Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen and Lou Reed. Dion still loves to record and perform and, in fact, has recently released New York Is My Home, a new studio album. He will play a few songs when he talks with Rolling Stone’s Anthony DeCurtis.
