Dr. Salomon Grimberg, MD will give a talk on Frida Kahlo at Throckmorton Fine Art. Dr. Grimberg is widely regarded as the leading biographer and expert source on the life and work of the famed Mexican artist. Throckmorton's show presents a unique opportunity to see vintage and rare images of Kahlo by Gisele Freund, Nickolas Muray, Emmy Lou Packard, Diego Rivera, Juan Guzman, Peter Juley, Bernard Silverstein, Carl Van Vechten, Edward Weston, Lucienne Bloch, Graciela Iturbide, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Mayo Brothers, Leo Matiz, Fritz Henle and Hector Garcia—as well as three drawings by Kahlo herself.
