New York Press Photographers Association presents: Finding in Pictures in New York City with Gary Hershorn, Former Editor-in-Charge at Reuters North America News Pictures

For the past few years Gary Hershorn has been working to documents the ever changing skyline of NYC. From sunrise to sunset and each month with the rise of a full moon he looks for ways to show off the beauty of the city using Instagram and social media as the platform to display the photos.

Gary Hershorn has been working as a photojournalist since 1978. He first started working for United Press International in Toronto and moved to Reuters in 1985 when the global agency purchased UPI’s foreign picture service. From 1990 to 2000 he worked in Washington, DC covering the White House, national news, entertainment, sporting events and global stories like the Olympics. After being promoted to managing Reuters picture dept in the Americas in 2000, he moved to New York where he worked for Reuters until 2014. Presently he is freelancing in New York City.
