In this entertaining evening program, the Museum of Sex will pre-screen “Battle of the Sexes,” an upcoming episode of the CNN Original Series, The Seventies. The episode delves into how America underwent a dramatic shift of sexual mores, customs and gender roles in the 1970s. A panel discussion will follow the screening, moderated by journalist and “sexpert” Anka Radakovich. Panelists include CNN contributor and Daily Beast columnist Sally Kohn, one of the leading progressive voices in America, and Cornell University professor Dr. Allison Louise Elias, whose research focus is gender and work in modern America.

Background: The Seventies is an eight-part documentary series that airs Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT on CNN. From executive producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman (Playtone), in association with HBO Mark Herzog (Herzog & Company), the series examines the individuals and events that influenced and shaped a decade that had a profound impact on America.  Through the use of raw and rarely seen archival footage, as well as interviews with journalists, historians, musicians and television artists who were eyewitnesses to history, The Seventies paints a vivid portrait of a period of lasting consequence.
