Fridays at Noon: Myth and the Modern Dance—American Dance Guild Honors Jean Erdman at 100

ADG celebrates the legacy of Jean Erdman, who explored archetypal themes in dance and theater with her husband, mythologist Joseph Campbell.

The audience is invited to ponder the question, “What do we mean by the mythic dimension?” Features a live performance of Erdman’s rarely seen 1942 solo The Transformations of Medusa, a stage-to-screen adaptation of her 1948 work Hamadryad by Nancy Allison and Paul Allman, contemporary works inspired by myth, archival footage and a panel discussion.

Fridays at Noon tickets are $10 online/$15 at the door and should be purchased in advance online or at the 92Y Box Office in the lobby.
