Greenlight Poetry Salon

Created by Greenlight’s own Angel Nafis, Greenlight Bookstore’s quarterly poetry series, the Greenlight Poetry Salon, welcomes locally and nationally celebrated poets. This month poets Geoff Kagan Trenchard, Mahogany L. Browne, and Megan Falley present recent work in a show that is always energetic and inspiring. Geoff Kagan Trenchard has performed poetry on HBO's Def Poetry, at universities across the country and in numerous penal institutions. He is the author of Murder Stay Murder (Penmanship Press). Mahogany L. Browne is a Cave Canem Fellow and the author of several books including Swag & Dear Twitter. She is the host and curator of the famous Friday Night Poetry Slam Series at the Nuyorican Poets Café. Megan Falley is a founder of The Wade-Lewis Poetry Slam Invitational and the author of After the Witch Hunt (Write Bloody Press). A wine reception will follow the readings.
