To mark International Holocaust Memorial Day and in honor of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Dr. Dan McMillan will discuss the causes of the Holocaust, and read from his new book, How Could This Happen: Explaining the Holocaust, which focuses on two critical questions: “Why Germany?” and “Why the Jewish people?” Dr. McMillan asks us to consider what the causes tell us about human nature and humanity’s capacity for moral progress. To be followed by a Q & A and book signing.
