Grammy Award winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper and four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein have teamed up on “Kinky Boots,” the highly anticipated new musical opening on Broadway this spring. He wrote the book, and she wrote the music and lyrics for the show, directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell. Hear the celebrated writer and composer-lyricist talk about the experience and “Kinky Boots” with New York Times theater reporter Patrick Healy, followed by a musical performance by members of the cast.
