“Heavy is the Head” | Musical Portraits of Queens, Powerful and Vulnerable

This program for Woman’s History Month reflects on ruling women across history in a program of aria and songs by Handel, Barber, Berlioz, Verdi, Schumann, and the rarely performed Try Me, Good King, based on the last words of Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr, by American composer Libby Larsen.
