Patricia Tull, author of Inhabiting Eden: Christians, the Bible and the Ecological Crisis, will lead this public lecture and explore the Bible for ancient wisdom that lends insight into current ecological problems, including energy use, consumerism, food systems, toxic waste, and climate change. While ancient people, including the community that produced Scripture, understood their deep connection with and dependence on the natural world, recent generations have lost much of this wisdom. The environmental choices humans make do affect the future. She will explore paths to a renewed awareness of humans’ place on earth. Free admission; no registration required.
