Jami Attenberg Reading & Book Signing

In conjunction with our current exhibition, By the Book, Sean Kelly is delighted to present a reading with Jami Attenberg followed by a conversation between the author and writer J. Courteney Sullivan. In 2012, Jami Attenberg’s novel The Middlesteins was praised in a New York Times Book Review cover review, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, a New York Times bestseller, and an Amazon Top Ten Book of the Year. This summer, she returned with an even stronger and more unique novel, Saint Mazie. Inspired by the life of a woman who was profiled in Joseph Mitchell’s classic New Yorker piece Up in the Old Hotel, Saint Mazie is infused with Jami Attenberg’s signature wit, bravery and heart. Mazie’s rise to “sainthood”and her irrepressible spiritis unforgettable. A book signing with the author will take place immediately following the event.
