The General Society Artisan Lecture Series continues on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:30pm in the General Society Library at 20 W. 44th St., New York City, when Jeff Greene, President & Founder of EverGreene Architectural Arts, will discuss Beauty in the Details: Architectural Painting, Plasterwork, Decorative Finishing, Conservation and Restoration.

Beauty in the Details will examine beauty as it pertains to our built environment, historic buildings and how our ideas of beauty have changed and evolved over time. Using the work of EverGreene Architectural Arts’ craftsmen, artists and designers, Jeff Greene, Founder and President of EverGreene, explores the collaboration between artists and architects; what architectural ornament says about the individual or community that buildings are constructed to serve, and how restoration and conservation keeps our collective stories alive and historic spaces relevant in the 21st century.

Over the last three decades, Jeff Greene, President and founder of EverGreene Architectural Arts, has led large-scale interior conservation, restoration, and new design work for significant spaces in every historic architectural style. He has revived artistic and decorative techniques by learning from master craftsmen in the U.S. and abroad and applying his knowledge and experience coast-to-coast.  Mr. Greene is considered one of the country’s foremost experts in both traditional and innovative techniques for murals, ornamental plaster, and decorative finishes. He is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and has served on the boards of numerous organizations including the National Society of Mural Painters, the League of Historic American Theaters, and the Association for Preservation Technology.
