Dr. Terry Perlin interviews Eduardo Porter, economic columnist, the New York Times.

Eduardo Porter, who writes the Economic Scene column for the New York Times, will be interviewed by NYSEC member Dr. Terry Perlin. Mr. Porter’s columns focus on economic inequality, corporate ethical issues and novel ideas for social reform. A former member of the Times’ editorial board, he writes about business and labor with a critical edge.

Mr. Porter began his career in journalism more than two decades ago as a financial reporter for Notimex, a Mexican news agency, in Mexico City. In 2000, he joined The Wall Street Journal in Los Angeles to cover the growing Hispanic population, and in 2004 he joined the New York Times to cover economics.
