Kathryn Roszak on the 92nd St Y’s “Moving Forward”

San Francisco-based dancer/choreographer Kathryn Roszak and her company will appear on the 92nd St. Y’s “Moving Forward – Women Ballet Choreographers East and West,” sharing the program with other woman dancemakers.  Roszak will present excerpts from two works: “Emily Dances,” inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson and performed to music by Gordon Getty, performed live by singer Katie Geissinger and pianist Audrey Vardanega; and “Reverse Flow/Xingu River,” set to music by Philip Glass. Two performances on April 28 – 12 noon and 8 PM, both in Buttenweiser Hall at the 92nd St. Y.
