Laughing Matters: The world ain’t as funny as it used to be (that’s why we have to keep laughing!)

Human beings like to laugh—and laughter is really, really good for our social, emotional, cultural and physical health. But it is getting pretty damn hard to find a humorous way of looking at things these days. So how do we all get better at creating humor no matter what life throws at us? Join improv comedienne Marian Rich and theater director and developmentalist Mary Fridley for a playful/philosophical exploration of being funny. What can we learn from some of the world’s great comics—and each other—about creating humor with everything in our lives? Back by popular demand, this experiential workshop, is open to everyone (new- and old-timers alike) and especially those for whom being lighter-hearted is no laughing matter.
