“Made in Brooklyn”: CHROMAT’s Becca McCharen in conversation with Kim Jenkins

This conversation is part of the “Exploring Fashion and Culture with Kim Jenkins” talk series at Pratt Institute, which features emerging designers and thought leaders in fashion and culture. Becca McCharen’s Brooklyn-based label CHROMAT has not only attracted a cult following, but has recently garnered attention in the mainstream, becoming “one to watch” in Vogue and Forbes magazine, and most notably outfitting Beyoncé and her dancers. Kim Jenkins, Visiting Assistant Professor of Fashion, will sit down with McCharen to discuss her transition from architect to fashion designer, as well as her interplay of fashion design with light source technology.
