The distinguished author, historian, artist, and biographer Nell Painter will speak on the iconic and elusive figure of Sojourner Truth, in a talk that explores both her lived life and her symbolic impact. Martha Hodes, historian and biographer, will moderate the discussion following Dr. Painter's talk.
