The New Yorker Festival: Tavi Gevinson Talks with Hilton Als

Tavi Gevinson is a writer and an actress, and the founding editor-in-chief of Rookie, a Web publication and book series for teen-age girls. In 2008, at the age of eleven, she created the blog Style Rookie. In 2014, Gevinson starred in Kenneth Lonergan’s Tony-nominated revival of “This Is Our Youth.” She recently starred in Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and will appear in the Roundabout’s revival of “The Cherry Orchard” this fall.

Hilton Als became a staff writer at The New Yorker in 1994 and a theatre critic in 2002.
