Veiled in mystery and surrounded by rumors, the rites and rituals of the highly secretive Freemasons have evoked curiosity and wonder for hundreds of years. From the academic scholar to the casually inquisitive, the Chancellor Robert R. Livingston Masonic Library rewards those hoping to gain insight into the shrouded world of Freemasonry with a genuine resource for delving into the organization’s hidden practices and past.

With over 60,000 volumes on Masonic history, rituals and philosophy, the Livingston Library is one of the largest known collections of Freemason resources, artifacts and memorabilia. While only the initiated are permitted to check books out, head librarian Tom Savini will be guiding us through the collection and offering a rare opportunity to explore the library’s stacks.

The Library is located on the 14th floor of the Grand Lodge. Enter from the 23rd Street entrance and proceed to the bank of elevators towards the back of the building.
