PEN World Voices Festival | Grrls, Pearls, Unfurl: Identity and Self Love in the Millennial Age

This interactive two-part program will engage New York City teens on issues of gender and power and their impact on their daily lives. The program will feature panels and performances exploring topics from modern beauty standards and their connection to self-esteem to a conversation celebrating local teen activists and their impact on the City.

This event is presented by the Apollo Theater’s Young Producers Club (YPC). The YPC is a collective of Apollo Theater Academy Alumni, who, under the tutelage of seasoned arts and entertainment professionals, produce and manage events that provide performance opportunities for young artists to showcase their work. With Gabourey Sidibe, Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, Victoria Pannell, and Hebh Jamal.
