PEN World Voices Festival at NYU I Opening Panel: Discussing Diaspora

Kick off the PEN World Voices Festival at NYU with a collection of writers participating throughout the day in a variety of venues around NYU. In this panel, a group of distinguished international authors discuss their thoughts on the diaspora. Featuring Rashidah Ismaili (born in Benin, living in NYC), Abdourahman Waberi (born in Djibouti, living in D.C.), Kerry Young (born in Jamaica to a Chinese father and mother of mixed Chinese-African heritage, now living in the U.K.) and Cormac James (born in Ireland, now living in France) among others. Moderated by Eric Banks, Director of the New York Institute for the Humanities.

Immediately followed by book sales and live music on Washington Mews, just outside Glucksman Ireland House NYU.

Free admission.
