People, Art — & How Much Meaning?

This Dramatic Presentation of the philosophy Aesthetic Realism will feature founder Eli Siegel’s moving lecture “Aesthetic Realism Looks at Things: Communication.” In it, he quotes Matthew Arnold on Thomas Gray, and on Voltaire. Mr. Siegel says in the lecture: “People can live together for years and really not transmit what they feel to each other. You have to respect and like what you express yourself to before the job of communication can have a fair chance.” Also, art blogger Lore Mariano speaks on Chardin’s “Soap Bubbles,” & How I Saw the World Has Meaning.
