Person Place Thing: Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of ADL

After 12 years writing “The Ethicist” for The New York Times Magazine, Randy Cohen invites you to his new project, Person Place Thing, an interview show in which one amazing guest tells three insightful and often hilarious stories.

Jonathan Greenblatt is the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), leading all aspects of one of the most respected civil rights organizations in the country. In 2016, after his first year at the helm of the ADL, he was recognized in the NonProfitTimes “Power & Influence Top 50” list. The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the nation’s premier civil rights/human relations agency. The ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals, and protects civil rights for all. Prior to heading the ADL, Jonathan served in the White House as Special Assistant to President Obama and Director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. Jonathan came to that role after a long career as a serial social entrepreneur and corporate executive, including as cofounder of Ethos Brands, the business that launched Ethos Water, the premium bottled water that helps children around the world access clean water.
