In this forum, moderated by Mike Wallace, co-author of Gotham, David Hyussen, author of Progressive Inequality: Rich and Poor in New York, 1890-1920, and Joseph Varga, author of Hell’s Kitchen and the Battle for Urban Space: Class Struggle and Progressive Reform in New York City, 1894-1914, will assess the latest work on that famous reform era, and explore its implications for our contemporary situation.
