¡Qué Rico! Celebrating Latino Cuisine & Culture: The 31st Annual Chefs’ Tribute to Citymeals on Wheels

1 Chefs' Tribute 2015_barnett (2)Legendary chefs will gather on Monday, June 6, 2016 for ¡Qué rico! Celebrating Latino Cuisine & Culture: The 31st Annual Chefs’ Tribute to Citymeals on Wheels. These culinary stars will celebrate the rich flavors of Latin cooking as they create dishes at tasting stations throughout the Rockefeller Center Plaza. The highly anticipated event will raise funds for Citymeals on Wheels to prepare and deliver nutritious meals to  homebound elderly New Yorkers. Participating Chefs can be found on our website.

Rockefeller Center will be transformed into a flavorful fiesta by renowned architect and Citymeals Board Member David Rockwell. More than 1,200 business leaders, gourmet enthusiasts, food industry trendsetters, young professionals, chefs and restaurateurs will be in attendance for live music, dancing and spectacular cuisine.

Nick Valenti, CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, will be the evening’s Grand Host. The event is chaired by Beverly and Dan Bartfeld, Ninah and Michael Lynne, Laura and John Pomerantz, Randi and Dennis Riese, and Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch. With the help of beverage chair Audrey Saunders (Owner, The Pegu Club) and wine chair Daniel Johnnes (Wine Director, The Dinex Group), the event will also feature signature cocktails from top spirit sponsors and stellar wines from notable wineries.

Official sponsors of Citymeals on Wheels are American Airlines and FIJI Water.

Young Professional Ticket: Special pricing available. Ticket includes general admission to the event, starting at 7:30pm. There is limited availability of Young Professional tickets. For more information or to purchase a ticket, contact [email protected].

$50 of each event ticket is not tax-deductible.

Thanks to their partnership with the New York City Department for the Aging, along with gifts from their board of directors and others designated for administrative expenses, Citymeals is able to promise that 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales will be used entirely for the preparation and delivery of meals.
