Rebecca Dinerstein – Lofoten

When Rebecca Dinerstein graduated from Yale in 2009, she was awarded a year-long grant to write poetry. She decided to move to an island in the Norwegian Sea for the year, and wrote a cycle of poems about the Far North. While there she learned Norwegian and translated her poems into Norwegian, with the assistance of editors in Oslo.

This bilingual edition of her poems was recently published by Aschehoug, Norway’s leading publisher. Select poems from the book have also appeared in The Daily Beast and The New Republic.
