Come join Red Hen Press authors for a night of literary spectacle! Featuring Louise Wareham Leonard, who will be reading from her upcoming release, the highly anticipated micro-novel 52 Men! Red Hen authors Chris Tarry (How to Carry Bigfoot Home) and Jim Knipfel (Residue) will also offer readings from their acclaimed books.

Louise Wareham Leonard is the author of Since You Ask (Akashic Books, 2004), awarded the James Jones Literary Society First Novel Award, and Miss Me A Lot Of (Victoria University Press, 2007). Born in New Zealand, Louise moved to Manhattan at age 12 and attended Columbia College. She currently lives in upstate New York.

Chris Tarry holds an MFA from the University of British Columbia, and has been published widely. His fiction has appeared in publications such as The Literary Review, On Spec, The GW Review, PANK, BULL, and Monkeybicycle. His non-fiction has appeared in the anthology How to Expect What You’re Not Expecting, and Outside In Literary & Travel Magazine. In 2012, his story “Here Be Dragons” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He is also a four-time Juno Award winner, and one of New York’s most sought-after musicians.

Jim Knipfel was a long-time staff writer at the New York Press, and his column “Slackjaw” has appeared weekly in one publication or another since 1987. He is the author of several novels, memoirs, and short story collections including Quitting the Nairobi Trio, The Buzzing, These Children Who Come at You with Knives, and The Blow-off. Last anyone asked, he was rumored to live in Brooklyn.
