A Little Chaos is a costume drama with a modern sensibility, starring Kate Winslet as a landscape designer during the reign of Louis XIV. Hired to create a rock garden in the palace of Versailles, she rises to both professional and romantic challenges, working under master architect Le Notre (Mathias Schoenaerts) while trying to please “The Sun King” (Alan Rickman). The excellent supporting cast includes Stanley Tucci as the King’s flamboyant brother, as well as Helen McCrory and Jennifer Ehle as elegant women engaged in court intrigue.
