Russian Literary Series: Valery Popov

This famously witty author writes for both children and adults, and is considered a master of ironic prose. A number of his stories have been translated into Czech, Hungarian, German, and English. A member of the Russian Writers Union since 1970, Popov now serves as president of the Petersburg branch of PEN.
