Center Talks: Saleem Haddad

The Center welcomes Saleem Haddad, author of “GUAPA,” a debut novel centered around a gay Arab man’s coming-of-age story in the Middle East amongst political and social upheaval.

Saleem Haddad is a writer and aid worker, born in Kuwait City to an Iraqi-German mother and a Palestinian-Lebanese father. He has worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), and in addition to writing he currently advises various international organizations on humanitarian and development issues in the Middle East and North Africa.
