The Return: Young and Jewish in Poland Documentary + Discussion with Director Adam Zucker

promotion.inddOn Thursday, November 12 at 12:30pm there will be a screening of The Return, a documentary about young adult Jews living in today’s Poland (some of whom were brought up believing they were Catholic) and living with holdover fears of the Nazi and subsequent Warsaw Pact eras of extreme anti-Semitism in what was once the cradle of European Jewry. The film poses the question: how do you build your identity when your past has been stripped away? There will be a post screening talkback with director Adam Zucker. The film’s running time is 83 minutes. The event is sponsored by the Baruch College Jewish Studies Center and takes place at Baruch Performing Arts Center, 25th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues. Free.
