With Sonia Taitz, a playwright, essayist, and the author of "In the King’s Arms" and "Mothering Heights."
This illustrated lecture depicts the author's life as the American child of Yiddish-speaking, Orthodox, European concentration camp survivors. She tracks her ambitious quest to rescue her parents from enduring trauma – and in the process, heal herself. From her law degree at Yale to her education at Oxford, the journey climaxes with a surprising and catalytic love story that changes everything. It is a classic story of forging an individual, American identity which blends past, present and future.
