Over the past 30 years, strong economic connections have provided the foundation for a robust U.S.-China relationship. Commitments in Washington and Beijing to boost bilateral trade, finance, and investment have contributed to historic rates of growth in both countries, and have helped to create opportunities for cooperation on a range of important issues. As the relationship continues to deepen, however, an increasing number of frictions and misunderstandings threaten to hinder growth on both sides of the Pacific and complicate the future development of this critical economic partnership.
Please join us as we bring together experts from China and the United States to discuss potential areas for increased bilateral cooperation, the most beneficial ways forward for both countries, and projections of what can be achieved from a continued economic relationship in 2022 — the 50th anniversary of President Richard Nixon’s visit to China.
