Theater director and translator Bryan Doerries returns to BAM to celebrate the launch of his book, The Theater of War: What Ancient Greek Tragedies Can Teach Us Today. This event features readings of portions of Doerries’ book by actors Adam Driver, Paul Giamatti, David Strathairn and others. Doerries will then lead an audience discussion exploring how ancient tragedies can help begin to heal communities that have been visited by trauma.
