Van Cortlandt Park: Third-Largest Park in New York

Van Cortlandt is home to the first municipal golf course in the US and houses the Van Cortlandt House Museum, the oldest building in the Bronx and the first historic house museum in NYC.

Lafayette and Rochambeau dined here, and George Washington slept here. Visit the museum; learn some interesting facts about the park; possibly see a cricket game, an international soccer game and/or a cross-county track meet; and then taste some of the best carrot cake in NYC.

Meet at 242 St. and Broadway – the Uptown side of the street.
