Vortex | Michael Palladino, Jamie Lustberg | An Artist Dialogue Series Event

Michael Palladino is a mixed media artist living in New York City. A graduate from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions of his prints, paintings, sculpture, and photographs. The experimentation with various media has resulted in enhanced digital photography painted with encaustic wax, and carved wood panels, often torched and waxed. His work leans towards abstraction, and is inspired by nature. Aside from the more personal work, Palladino has collaborated with multiple domestic and international design teams on larger scale projects at major venues including hotels, restaurants, and residential spaces.  He creates the work in his studios in New York and Pennsylvania.

Jamie Lustberg began her fine arts career as an assistant to Philip Pearlstein and later became his print publisher. She was a partner at Bridgewater/Lustberg & Blumenfeld Gallery for fifteen years, focusing on emerging artist in all mediums. She now consults privately for select clients. In 1995 Jamie began producing art documentaries for the Peabody Award winning series EGG THE ARTS SHOW, for which she won three Emmy Awards, a Cine Golden Eagle and a Gracie Allen award. She has produced and directed films for HBO, The Discovery Channel, The Disney Channel and Mattel Entertainment. She has Executive Produced series for OWN, Lifetime, BIO Channel and Discovery ID.
