Warrior of Hope | Photographic Essay | Opening Reception

WoH 4“Such is hope, heaven’s own gift to struggling mortals, pervading, like some subtle essence from the skies, all things both good and bad.” Charles Dickens

The Warrior emerged as the personification of the concept of Hope from the chaos of the world to offer hope to all against disease, inequality and injustice. He honors those who fought the HIV/AIDS battle and lost as well as offering solace to those currently fighting the war with hope for a time when the ravages of the disease will be eradicated from the earth.

The Warrior offers hope so that we and future generations will be able to live in a harmonious world. His quest is to offer freedom of mind and heart to everyone. Until that day, the Warrior of Hope will continue to raise his staff on behalf of us all.

The Warrior of Hope is continuing his journey with a new exhibit at the Pride Center of Staten Island, September 12 to October 4, 2015.

Opening Reception on Saturday, September 12th from 6 to 9pm.

The Pride Center is located just a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry at 25 Victory Blvd., 3rd Floor.

Exhibit hours Monday to Friday 1pm to 9pm.
